Musher Question & Answer

How many years have you been running dogs?

Tell us about your dogs?
We have a bunch of 2 year olds that will be running this year. I have no doubt Sable will be leading them. This will be her 13th thousand mile race at 8 years old. She is small, rotund and hy to strangers but she will do anything for us!

How did you get started running dogs?
We got a few dogs from the Fairbanks shelter and were hooked!

What do you love most about running sled dogs?
Being outside and testing our stamina in the cold

Why did you enter the Yukon Quest? What are your goals for the race?
To get a bunch of young dogs across the finish line.

What music do you listen to on the trail?
Anything Trey puts on my Ipod

How did your dogs get their names?/ How do you choose names?
We have litter themes. Our pups this year are named after Russians. He have another litter of cars that turn 2 this year that will be seeing the trail for the first time. Volt, Astro, El Camino, Coupe de Ville, Onix, Sierra, Iroc and Trax will join their older siblings Chevelle, Nova and Cuda.
