How did you get started running dogs?

I began running dogs with the Mawson dogs in Ely, Minnesota. In 1991 all non-indigenous life was kicked out of Antarctica, including sled dogs that were part of the Australian Mawson Research station. Many of these dogs were shipped to Voyageur Outward Bound in Ely, where I worked as an instructor

Being able to hang out with my best friends.

Why did you enter the Yukon Quest? What are your goals for the race?
Looking forward to getting back into mushing, as I’ve been only doing short distances for the last few years.

All came pre-named from their previous homes.

What music do you listen to on the trail?

For such a short race — probably nothing!
