Musher Question & Answer
Most of my guys are somewhat related, same mom, different stud. Most will be from my very first litter, so it’s nice to think that some hair-brained idea that I dreamt up in a cabin on the Yukon River, before these guys even opened their eyes, has taken me this far!
I started running dogs when I bought my first dog, Annie, from Lester Erhart’s dog yard in Tanana, a village on the Yukon River. My old man had dogs for years. Along with my brothers, he used dogs primarily for working trap lines, trips and the Iditarod. I grew up hearing dog stories from my dad and his friends about running dogs. These stories gave me the inspiration to have my own dog team.
