Musher Q & A
How many years have you been running dogs?
24
How did you get started running dogs?
I have always been interested in the outdoors and the Nordic lifestyle, so it was a natural thing to get into mushing as well. From the time of my first run, I was hooked for good!
How did your dogs get their names?/ How do you choose names?
I leave that to the family but we try to follow themes.
Why did you enter the Yukon Quest? What are your goals for the race?
The Yukon Quest is the highlight of the year. I am addicted to it! I will try to a better job than I did on the last one, we will see how far that can take us...
Tell us about your favourite experience with a volunteer on the trail
Must be from 2017, when Fabian was the Race Marshal and he guided me and my team to our campsite in Dawson, since my handler crew was still sleeping!
What mushing organizations are you a member of?
Two Rivers Dog Mushers Association
