The Yukon Quest 1,000 Mile International Sled Dog Race welcomes a new Business Manager in the Yukon office.
Bruno Bourdache has accepted the term position as of December 1, 2018. Hailing from Quebec, Bourdache has also spent time in Saskatchewan before calling Yukon home in 2007. He brings ample experience to the Yukon Quest, having worked for several non-profit organizations in Whitehorse including the 2007 Canada Winter Games, l'Association franco-yukonnaise, and Volunteer Bénévoles Yukon (VBY).
As the 2019 race is approaching quickly, the Business Manager position was created to help with the transition until March 31, 2019, in lieu of filling the Executive Director position. Once this term is completed, the Board of Directors will fill the Executive Director role permanently.
“On behalf of the Yukon Board of Directors, I would like to welcome Bruno in the new role of Business Manager,” said Yukon Board President Bev Regier. “His enthusiasm and non-profit experience will be a great addition to the team in making the 2019 race a successful one.”
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the Yukon Quest,” says Bruno Bourdache. “I look forward to participating in the incredible planning and execution of the 1,000-mile race and the YQ300 during my term.”
