Musher Question & Answer

How many years have you been running dogs?

Tell us about your dogs?
In lieu of stories I’ll just say they’re a wonderful group & I love them very much

How did you get started running dogs?
My wife let me share the runners one day.

What do you love most about running sled dogs?

Why did you enter the Yukon Quest? What are your goals for the race?
I miss it & our daughter is now old enough to permit us some time on the trail. My goal is to show her what a happy & healthy dog team looks like from start to finish.

What music do you listen to on the trail?
The incessant, ceaseless & beleaguering loops of kid songs from my daughter’s books. Also Snailface & Rats & People Motion Picture Orchestra.

How did your dogs get their names?/ How do you choose names?
We have litter themes that we decide upon once they’re born. Past litters include Deadwood, Ordinary Wolves (after the incredible Seth Kantner book), Dogs of Literature, Country Music Legends & Soul Music Legends.
