Musher Question & Answer

How many years have you been running dogs?

Tell us about your dogs?
Each dog I bred and raised. They all just turned either 2, 3 or 4, along with two 7.5 year olds. We are all rookies, ready to learn through experience.

How did you get started running dogs?
I did a couple of seasons with a touring kennel and realized that I didn't want to do that, but I still needed to have dogs.

What do you love most about running sled dogs?
What they teach me, the beauty that I see with them, their ability to take me places, and of course the dogs themselves!

Why did you enter the Yukon Quest? What are your goals for the race?
I entered because it has been in my head to do this race since I began running with 3 dogs. My goal is to gain experience and to finish with a happy, healthy team.

How did your dogs get their names?/ How do you choose names?
Sometimes by litter theme, but sometimes I just choose names.
