Yukon Quest Photography Team Ready to Capture the Action

The Yukon Quest 1,000 Mile International Sled Dog Race will have two new photographers on the trail when the race kicks off February 2nd in Whitehorse.

Alistair Maitland and Patrick Kane have been hired as the Official Photography Team for the 2013 Yukon Quest. They will travel the entire trail, highlighting the historic moments, beautiful scenery and behind-the-scenes action.

Both Maitland and Kane have extensive photography experience. Patrick is the former staff photographer and photo editor of award-winning Up Here Magazine, which covers the Yukon, NWT and Nunavut. He has travelled extensively in Canada’s arctic covering people, culture and lifestyle in some of the most remote locations in the North. Alistair specializes in editorial and event photography, having covered events such as the Dawson City Music Festival and the NXNE Music Festival in Toronto.
