Musher Question & Answer
How many years have you been running dogs?
Tell us about your dogs?
Piper is my main mama. She's a blue eyed beauty and mom or grandma to most of my dogs. At the end of the YQ300 she was looking back at me wondering why we were stopping.
How did you get started running dogs?
My yellow lab got tired of skijoring, so I found some sled dogs for hire.
What do you love most about running sled dogs?
Alaska night sky and full moons. Raising pups into mature adult athletes. Bond and trust developed w/the dogs.
Are you a member of any other organizations involved in sled dog sports?
Why did you enter the Yukon Quest? What are your goals for the race?
You never know what your limits are until you test them. Main goal is to make it to Fairbanks (faster than the other teams).
How did your dogs get their names?/ How do you choose names?
Family picks a theme. Yearlings are named after "That 70's Show". Hyde, Forman, Jackie, Midge, Kitty, Kelso.
