Musher Question & Answer
How many years have you been running dogs?
Tell us about your dogs?
The majority of our team (8 dogs) come from two breedings between Kraken's Kermit the Frog and a bitch that came to us from the UK's Penkhala's Medea - these dogs now have 38 thousand mile races between them, all of them have done the Quest/Iditarod double at least once (five have done it twice) and 8 of them were on the first Siberian team to finish the double in 2015.
How did you get started running dogs?
As a hobby to have fun and keep our pet dogs exercised.
What do you love most about running sled dogs?
Being on my own out in the wilderness with just the dogs.
Are you a member of any other organizations involved in sled dog sports?
Siberian Husky Club of Great Britain
Why did you enter the Yukon Quest? What are your goals for the race?
Because Louise said I shouldn't. To have fun, a great time with the dogs, and to improve on the previous year's runs.
What music do you listen to on the trail?
None but if I did it would mostly be 70's and 80's punk rock.
How did your dogs get their names?/ How do you choose names?
We pick litter names that we think may offend people (whilst amusing us) and go from there.
