2017 Rules and Entry Packages Available

We welcome all qualifying mushers to the 34th annual Yukon Quest!

The 2017 Yukon Quest 1,000 Mile International Sled Dog Race Rules and Entry Packages now available, as are the YQ300

The 2017 entry fee is $2,000 USD. A maximum of 50 mushers can enter the Yukon Quest. Yukon Quest mushers must be at least 18 years old by the race start date and must have demonstrated their ability to successfully complete a 200-mile and a 300-mile sled dog race within the previous 42 months to enter the Yukon Quest.

Sign up day will start on August 6th, 2016 in both Yukon and Alaska. 

Yukon

Time: 11am to 3pm PST
Location: Yukon Quest office on Front and Main Street, Whitehorse

We will also be hosting BarkFest the same day as part of Sign Up Day from 11am-3pm.

It will be a free event with a fundraiser BBQ. Come with your dog to participate in a fun family day including free dog treats, prizes, face painting, dog competitions, and more! Fun dog compeitions include: owner and dog look-a-like, best dog trick, best dressed dog and best dog howl.

Added bonus: YQ finisher Rob Cooke will be giving a presentation! 

Alaska

Time: 12pm to 2pm AKST
Location: Yukon Quest office, 550 First Avenue, Fairbanks

The 2017 1,000 Mile race will start Saturday, February 4th, 2017 at 11am PST in Whitehorse, Yukon. The 2017 YQ300 race will start Saturday, February 4th, 2017 at 3pm PST in Whitehorse, Yukon.
