Whitehorse Motors Reinforces Support for Yukon Quest

Friday, January 8, 2016

Whitehorse Motors will help steer participants of the 2016 Yukon Quest 1,000 Mile International Dog Sled Race in the right direction.

A proud sponsor of the Yukon Quest since 2008, the Whitehorse Ford dealer is providing rental vehicles for the race team and officials to travel on the Yukon Quest trail, ensuring safety and reliability as they make their way from checkpoint to checkpoint.

“With 1,000 miles and 11 checkpoints to cover, the Yukon Quest is a long journey, and the winter weather during the race often means tough driving conditions along the trail,” says Natalie Haltrich, Yukon Quest Executive Director – Yukon. “Whitehorse Motors understands that the safety of our race team and officials is extremely important, and they continue to prove their commitment to the community with their generous contribution to the race each year.”

“Whitehorse Motors and Ford of Canada are pleased and proud to support the Yukon Quest again this year. We wish all the participants the best race possible and thank all the volunteers for their continued support of this incredible event.”

Established in 1969, Whitehorse Motors has been serving the Yukon, Northwest Territories and Northern BC for nearly 45 years. They offer a large selection of new and used vehicles for sale or lease, as well as a fleet of rental vehicles through their Budget office.

The 33rd Yukon Quest 1,000 Mile International Sled Dog Race starts February 6, 2016 in Fairbanks.
