Largest Field Since 2013 Sign Up on Opening Day for 2019 Yukon Quest

The Yukon Quest 1,000 Mile International Sled Dog Race saw the largest field of mushers in five years sign up on opening day for the 2019 race.

Twenty-two mushers have confirmed their intention to run the 2019 race, including reigning three-time champion Allen Moore and past champions Matt Hall and Brent Sass. Fifteen veterans are joined by seven rookies. The YQ300 received 18 entries, including 1,000-mile finishers Marcelle Fressineau, Aliy Zirkle, and Hans Gatt. Registration for both races is open until January 4, 2019.
