For the fourth straight year, the High Country Inn will be the Official Yukon Hotel for the 2013 Yukon Quest 1,000 Mile International Sled Dog Race.

Located in downtown Whitehorse, the High Country Inn is owned and operated by Northern Vision Development LP. Under the agreement, the hotel will provide rooms for Yukon Quest mushers, support teams, and volunteers leading up to the start of the race, as well as meeting and banquet space.

“We are delighted the High Country Inn will once again be the Official Yukon Hotel for the Yukon Quest,” said Adam Gerle, VP of Marketing for Northern Vision. “It’s exciting to be part of such an iconic event that does so much to promote winter tourism in the Yukon.”

“We are so grateful to have the continued support of the High Country Inn as Official Yukon Hotel,” said Marie Belanger, Yukon Quest Executive Director – Yukon. “With their expertise in hospitality, I know our staff, officials, volunteers and fans will all rest comfortably. I am also confident the High Country Inn will do their best to exceed all expectations when it comes to hosting the Start Banquet on January 31st.”

For Start Week & QuestFest in Whitehorse, the High Country Inn will also offer a reduced rate of $95 CAD per night including airport shuttle and free Internet access. Yukon Quest mushers, support teams, volunteers and fans can request the Yukon Quest special rate when booking accommodation.
