Media Accreditation for the 2017 Yukon Quest

Thursday, November 10, 2016

The Yukon Quest 1,000 Mile International Sled Dog Race invites media to become accredited for the 2017 Yukon Quest which will run from Whitehorse to Fairbanks in February 2017.

Media accreditation is required for all media attending the race and provides access to media zones at race checkpoints. At most race checkpoints, there will be a media centre with Internet access where stories can be filed from the trail. A media guide with complete checkpoint details will be available to accredited media in January 2017. The media guide will also be handed out at all media briefings before the race start in Whitehorse.

All accredited media will receive regular releases from the trail and additional information can be provided upon request. Media not attending the race will receive daily race updates distributed electronically to the accredited media list. If you cannot attend the Yukon Quest in person and would rather prefer to schedule call-ins from the race, please indicate so on your accreditation form.

The media accreditation form is available on our website at http://yukonquest.com/media/media-accreditation. Deadline for registration is January 13, 2017.

To date, 22 mushers have signed their teams up for what promises to be an exciting race. The 2017 Yukon Quest starts February 4, 2017 in Whitehorse, Yukon.
