How many years have you been running dogs?
Tell us about your dogs?
I have a small kennel of 12 running dogs. This allows me to run the whole kennel. I Have a special connection with each dog and know the pairing that suits them best. I have three pairs of leaders, and each pair is best for certain situations.
How did you get started running dogs?
I had a few huskies as pets as a kid. Siku and Niki then started pulling me and I was hooked.
What do you love most about running sled dogs?
The connection with the dogs and the peacefulness of running with them.

Dog Powered Sports Association of Yukon
Why did you enter the Yukon Quest? What are your goals for the race?
This race has been a dream for me for many years, so it's really a dream come true. My goal is to finish.
What music do you listen to on the trail?
Country mostly, but some rock and pop.
How did your dogs get their names?/ How do you choose names?
Many dogs were named when I bought them. I name my pups based on themes, and my current litter is guns (Winchester, Remington, Beretta, Benelli).
