Tell us about your dogs?
My team has an average of 4.8 years old this year. The main core of the team are 2-5 time 1,000 mile veterans that I have had the joy of working with since 2015. There are also some very talented 2 and 3 year olds joining the team. They are a fun group of dogs.
How did you get started running dogs?
My love for the sport started through following the Iditarod as a homeschool project at the age of nine.I then started a kennel when I was 14, then moved to Nature's kennel four years later.
What do you love most about running sled dogs?
The dogs and their passion to run, the solitude of the trail, and the challenges that the trail presents.
Why did you enter the Yukon Quest? What are your goals for the race?
I entered to enjoy another 1,000 mile adventure with my best friends. My goals are to run the best race we can and try to improve on our 2018 Finish
What music do you listen to on the trail?
A big variety of genres, all upbeat songs that are fun to sing along to.
How did your dogs get their names?/ How do you choose names?
Our litters are named after themes. For example, some of my teammates are from the Charlie Brown litter, the Thomas the Train litter, the Blood Cells litter, and the Princesses litter.
